Sony has been very smart with the details they shared – confirming things like ray tracing support or a built-in SSD, suggest a powerful console with fast, high-end hardware, for example. While they were careful to keep it vague – they wouldn’t even commit to calling the console the PS5 yet, choosing instead to use the more ambiguous “next-gen PlayStation” – they shared a few concrete details, and those were enough to have console gamers around the world salivating at the prospect of what Sony’s new machine might offer. UUnexpectedly, out of nowhere, Sony released information about the upcoming PS5 earlier this week via an interview with famous tech outlet WIRED.
